Operator Assisted Conferencing

Operator Assisted Conferencing is used when you have a critical announcement to make to hundreds or even thousands of remote participants. Operator Assisted Conferencing is an operator managed conference service designed specifically for large event style conference calls or calls that require the personal touch of an operator. We also offer Passcode Conferencing. Passcode Conferencing is an automated service designed for one-time calls with a small number of participants.

With Operator Assisted Conferencing, you have a flexible method of communicating information quickly and efficiently to external and internal audiences such as:

  • Investor relations - results, market reports, share issues
  • Public relations - mergers and acquisitions, product launches
  • Sales and marketing - product presentations, product launches, reseller seminars
  • Internal communications - restructuring announcements, CEO announcements, policy and protocol updates
  • Crisis management - policy announcements, crisis updates
  • Training - employee, sales force and reseller training seminars
  • How to hold your Operator Assisted Conference

Organize an Operator Assisted call one of three ways:

Dial-in - participants dial an access number (you may choose a toll or toll-free number) and are greeted by the operator to whom their conference ID and password is given to join the call
NOTE: We recommend you provide a toll-free dial-in number, which may result in greater participation

Dial-out - you supply Qwest with a participant list, including names and telephone numbers and the operator calls the participants and places them into the conference

Combination of dial-in and dial-out - participants may dial-in and the speakers may be dialed-out to join the call
